We are the Wellington family and we are looking for our first Au Pair to join our family ASAP!

We have four amazing girls (ages: 11, 9, 7, 4) and just welcomed a baby boy this past October.

We live in beautiful New Milford, CT and enjoy all four seasons so a strong driver with experience in snow/ice is a must. Our town is the largest in CT but very much has a small town feel. We have lots of shopping, boutiques and every type of cuisine you can imagine. There are lots of beautiful places for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. We are about two hours from NYC and 1.5 hrs from Hartford.

The three older girls go to a Montessori school full time and our 4 year old will be in school three mornings a week come September. The girls are very independent and are very much looking forward to having an "older sister". They all do dance including competition teams so we are at the dance studio 5-6 nights a week.

While 5 kids might sound daunting, I work from home and will be there for an extra set of hands. I am also still out on maternity leave till September. Your hours would total 45hr M-F with weekends off.
My husband works outside the home but has Friday afternoons off giving you some Friday afternoons off as well.
We are a very busy family that keeps to a schedule but loves to relax and stay home when we are free from activities.

The girls love dance, crafts, playing outside, hiking, riding bikes, swimming, barbies, baking, cooking, board and card games.

What we are looking for:
- IQ
- Experience with 4+ kids
- An organized person that likes to plan and keep to a schedule but can also be flexible when those plans change
- Experienced driver (we will require a lot of driving to and from school and activities so please be open about experience)
- Self motivated
- Non smoker
- Vaccinated against covid and willing to get flu shots when needed
- Conscious and cautious about Covid when going out. We would prefer someone that would prefer to stay home or stay local rather than someone that is interested in going into the city EVERY weekend.
- Enjoys cooking and baking and wants to share in those activities
- Wants to share their culture with us and wants to be a part of a family
- Light chores in regards to kids (laundry, keeping play area clean, meal prep, sweeping, etc)
- Patient, kind, affectionate
- A good communicator and works together with my husband and I
- Wants to be a part of a big family, can show love to the kids but also expects respect and can act as an authority figure

The work schedule will be M-F 45 hours a week and typically 8am-5pm. Some Friday afternoons will be off but then those hours would be used here and there at night so we can drop the kids off at night time activities.

You would be driving to and from school, taking care of the baby, library group, dropping off at after school activities, kids laundry, making sure playroom and bedrooms are kept clean and cleaning up after meals when appropriate for kids. Anything centered around the kids you would be expected to help with.

We are really looking for someone that wants to be a part of our family and be included in our activities. We offer a fun crazy busy schedule but also really enjoy being together and relaxing when we can. Our girls are very well behaved and independent.

The days go by very quickly with all the activities but we really offer a fun, exciting, busy, loving, caring household!
