Family's Introduction to Au Pair
Aloha and thank you so much for considering our family!
We’re the Wilkersons, a loving, faith-filled family living in Ewa Beach, Hawai‘i—just a short walk from some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We’re reaching out to you with open hearts, looking for someone truly special to join our ‘ohana (family) as we care for our two daughters, Aria and Faith.
Let us introduce ourselves:
I’m Hal, a real estate broker and business owner, originally from the mainland U.S. My wife, Ana Jean, is originally from the Philippines and the heart of our home. We are grounded in our Christian faith, deeply committed to our family, and do our best to live each day with purpose, gratitude, and love. Together, we strive to create a peaceful, joyful, and nurturing environment.
About Our Girls
Our oldest daughter, Aria, is 12 years old and full of life. She’s creative, thoughtful, and independent. She loves crafts, reading, and spending time with friends. Aria is a wonderful big sister who brings joy and light to our home.
Our youngest daughter, Faith, is 4 years old. She was born with a rare neurological condition called Pachygyria, which affects her brain development. She is non-verbal and developmentally delayed but full of peace and sweetness. She loves music, being held, and connecting through touch and facial expressions. Faith is medically stable but needs hands-on help with most daily tasks like feeding, dressing, diapering, and mobility.
We’re looking for an au pair who feels confident—or called—to care for a child like Faith. You do not need to be perfect. But if you are patient, dependable, and have a heart for children with unique needs, you could make an incredible difference in our daughter’s life. We’ll give you all the support, structure, and love you need to thrive in this role.
Life with Our Family
We live in a new, spacious home with your own private room and bathroom. We treat our au pair as family—not just as help. We value your time, your health, and your dreams. You’ll have time off to explore Hawai‘i, pursue your studies, and rest. We’ll share meals, holidays, and memories together. You’ll be part of a household where you're seen, heard, and appreciated.
If you speak Tagalog or come from a Filipino background, Ana Jean would love to connect with you over shared culture. If you're from elsewhere, we welcome your background and will love learning about your culture and traditions too.
Our ideal au pair is someone who:
Has experience with or a willingness to learn how to care for a child with special needs
Is emotionally mature, patient, and nurturing
Wants to grow personally and professionally while serving a higher purpose
Is excited about experiencing life in Hawai‘i and joining a family that will value and respect you deeply
We understand this position is not for everyone—but for the right person, it will be an unforgettable, life-giving journey.
We hope this message resonates with you, and we’d love to connect to learn more about your heart, your story, and your hopes for your au pair experience.
With gratitude and aloha,
Hal, Ana Jean, Aria, and Faith Wilkerson
Ewa Beach, Hawai‘i, USA

Engaging Faith in sensory activities, music, and gentle play
Monitoring her safety and comfort at all times
Supporting routine therapy exercises under parent guidance
Occasional duties may include:
Helping with Aria’s after-school routines
Preparing simple meals for the children
Tidying children’s areas
Occasional help with children’s laundry
Work Schedule

Patient, calm, and emotionally mature
Experienced in caring for children with special needs (or eager to learn)
Reliable and communicative
Open to joining a Christian, family-focused home

Two weeks paid vacation, plus U.S. holidays off (as agreed)

Wi-Fi, streaming services, and access to family amenities (e.g., bikes, beach gear)
Warm, welcoming household where you are truly treated as family
? Why This Role Matters
This isn’t just a caregiving role—it’s a chance to walk alongside a child with unique challenges and become a source of light and stability in her life. You’ll have a profound impact on our family, and we’ll make sure you feel just as valued, supported, and loved in return.
If you’re a nurturing soul with a heart for service and a sense of adventure, we would be honored to welcome you into our home.
