Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and nurturing Au Pair to become an integral part of our family in Austin. Our family consists of a 1-year-old boy, a 2-year-old boy, and a 4-year-old girl. We are looking for an individual who is not only experienced in childcare but also enthusiastic about creating a supportive and educational environment for our children. If you're an active, creative, and patient individual who loves reading and can assist with homeschooling, we would love to welcome you into our home.

Responsibilities:

1. Childcare and Supervision:

Provide attentive care for our children's safety, well-being, and emotional development.
Engage in interactive and age-appropriate play to promote learning and growth.
Create and maintain a structured daily routine to ensure stability for the children.

2. Homeschool Assistance:

Assist with homeschooling activities and assignments for our 4-year-old girl.
Help develop educational and creative materials to support learning at home.
Encourage a positive attitude towards learning and exploration.

3. Activity Planning:

Organize and participate in outdoor activities, playdates, and outings that promote physical activity and social interaction.
Plan indoor activities that stimulate cognitive development and creativity.

4. Mealtime Support:

Prepare and serve meals and snacks for the children, considering their dietary preferences and restrictions.
Encourage healthy eating habits and proper table manners.

5. Reading and Language Development:

Foster a love for reading by engaging the children in regular storytimes and interactive reading sessions.
Promote language development through conversation, vocabulary-building, and language games.

6. Light Housekeeping:

Keep the children's play and living areas clean and organized.
Assist with children's laundry, toy organization, and light cleaning related to their care.

7. Communication:

Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding daily activities, challenges, and achievements.
Update parents on the children's progress and developmental milestones.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting.
Enthusiasm for creating engaging and educational activities.
Patience, adaptability, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
Strong organizational skills to manage the children's schedules and activities.
Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and other caregivers.
Basic knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
Ability to legally work in the United States and undergo a background check.
