Hello from our whole family,
We are so excited to meet you and to get to know you. We have 5 wonderful young children all under the age of 9. Two are in school already and one is well on her way to kindergarten. We have a busy, enriching home that we are excited to share with someone who has plenty of energy, creativity and love to share with our children. We welcome humor that will help to make everyday a delight. Our children love to laugh and play, are curious about the world around them and they enjoy telling adventurous stories that spring right from their imaginations. We all love the outdoors and we hope that you also enjoy the mountains and waterfalls and exploring nature in our own backyard as well as the great outdoors.
We hope you will share your own experiences with us as well as healthy meal ideas and actvities for the kids.
Each of our children are unique with their own talents, interests and feelings and we hope that you will come to appreciate each one.
We hope you can enjoy access the Washington DC as well as our immediate community here in Alexandria, VA. The area is very diverse and has plenty to offer as far as connections, cuisine, educational opportunities, friendships and more.

Help getting little ones dressed for the day, occasional help with packing lunches, provide snacks and lunches for small kids at home for the day,facilitate activities throughout the day for 1, 3 and 5 year old in our home, just outside or walks down to the park. Help with initial dinner prep occasionally, light housekeeping duties and sometimes just spending time with one or two kids (puzzles/games/coloring/playroom) while my husband and I can get much needed one on one time with the other children. These duties we expect typically Monday through Friday though if I am working on an occasional Saturday, we may switch so the au pair can have Sunday and a weekday totally off. Benefits include a very lively and fun household with delightful children! Excursions to Washington DC and the Shenandoah Mountains. Educational opportunities, trips with us to Florida, Indiana and other vacations, private room on bottom floor. We have a large home and a wonderful community with gym and pool access.
