Hi, my name is Abi. I’m 18 years old in September and I live in England. I come from a big family so I’ve always been around children. As the oldest cousin in my family and older sister to my little sister (who’s 8 years younger), I’ve had plenty of experience helping, playing with, and caring for kids.
I’m a calm and quiet person by nature, but I really love being around families. One of my goals as an au pair is to warm up, fit in, and become a true part of the family during my stay — to be involved in daily life and share in the special moments.
I’m really excited about the opportunity to become an au pair in Germany because I want to connect more with my German roots. My mother’s side of the family is German, but I’ve only lived in the UK and am still learning the language and culture. I’ve been studying German for around a year and am at an A2 level however with college I haven’t had so much time, and I’d love the chance to improve by living there and using the language every day, as I believe that is the best way.
I’m also interested in au pair work in Hungary, as I have a personal connection there and would love to experience the culture and lifestyle.
After finishing college, I plan to take some time to travel, gain life experience, and explore my options. I’m looking for au pair work starting from next summer, with the earliest availability in late August/September 2026. I’m hoping for an initial stay of around 3–6 months, with potentially the opportunity to extend if the family still needs help and I feel comfortable and at home.
I believe working as an au pair would be a perfect fit because I genuinely enjoy caring for children — whether it’s playing games, going to the park, or simply being part of their daily routine. I’m also happy to help your children with their English if you’d like.
I would describe myself as kind, patient, and easygoing. I’m very family-oriented and responsible, and I would do my best to support your family and fit in as a helpful member of your household.
