My name is Annie, and I’m an Irish humanitarian professional currently based in Nassau. I moved here in November 2024 to work with the United Nations, and I’m hoping to remain in The Bahamas until my visa expires in April 2026. As I look for a change of pace, I’m excited to return to childcare work, which has always felt natural and fulfilling to me.

I grew up caring for my younger cousins from infancy through early childhood, and during my university years I worked with several babysitting agencies alongside my part-time job simply because I genuinely enjoyed being around children. At 20, I moved to Paris for a year to au pair for a family with four children—an experience that taught me responsibility, patience, and how rewarding it is to support a family’s daily routine.

My humanitarian career with INGOs and the UN has strengthened my communication skills, cultural awareness, and ability to stay calm and organized in any situation. Now, I’m hoping to reconnect with the hands-on, meaningful work of supporting children and their parents.

I am fully settled in Nassau with my own accommodation and car, and I’m available as a live-out nanny. I’m comfortable with infants and young children, and I bring a warm and reliable approach to childcare.
