Hallo! I am Pobtham or you can call me Stamp. I am 23 years old from a land of smiles called Thailand. I have a Bachelor of Political Science Program in International Affairs, minoring in Japanese, from a well-known university in Thailand.
I have to express my gratitude and appreciation to my family, who supported me along the way. My big family has eight members. My father manages his own business. My mother works as a nanny. My older brother is a Civil Engineer. We are an easy-going family who enjoys traveling together and we enjoy spending quality time with each other. I am very fortunate to have a family that supports their children in whatever they want. Aside from just being concerned about my safety, my parents never wanted to hold back my happiness, unconditional love is what my parents gave me and I love them with all my heart.
I am a book lover. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is my favorite book. I am always excited when I come across new mysterious words like “Maktub” which means it is written; fate or destiny. Moreover, the beauty of each language gives me a passion for learning languages. I have learned five simple introductory languages include Japanese, Burmese, French, Spanish and Arabic, which in everyday life I can speak a little Japanese and French.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoor, going on a long walk. Adventure makes life exciting and joyful, so I like doing fun activities like cycling, kayaking, hiking and camping. Furthermore, I like to travel because the wide world voyage is an opportunity for us to discover and get to know new places and people as well as I love to share perspectives and make new friends especially with those who come from different cultural backgrounds. Besides, I like to eat and bake, for me, sweets help to make each day colorful, so I learned how to make and bake from YouTube.
I have an extended family so I am a big sister who takes care of many cousins. Growing up with them made me love and bond with children. In addition, I am a mother’s helper to take care of four children at home. This was the time when my love for children has grown because I have taken care of them since they were little children, feeding, bathing, playing, baking, putting them to bed. We spend a lot of time together. I love them so much.
I still remember all experience and memories with them. The moment when the children first learned to ride a bike and went to school on their first day. The moment when they cried when their lost their teeth broken or the moment when they were very happy to blow their birthday cakes. I was very happy to be a part of those moments.
Because of the COVID-19 situation, they have to study online at home. Now I have become a teacher to teach them homework and lessons.
During my time in university, I have experience as a staff of a volunteer for rural development camps in Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2017 and 2018. I have organized activities that developed children’s physical, emotional and social growth, planned and coordinated daily youth volunteering activities and promoted community service programs at public events.
I also have experience working as a teacher’s assistant at the daycare center. My responsibilities were helping children, and helping children to focus and motivate on their activities. We did many activities together such as coloring, crafting, reading, writing and playing outdoors and indoors. I have learned about children’s behaviors and how to handle them in many situations. I also learned how to communicate with them and how to make them feel comfortable with me.
I would describe myself as an adventurous, caring, cheerful, supportive and passionate person. I can understand what children's needs and I am willing to adapt to new tasks for their daily routine. Becoming an au pair in the USA will definitely be a lifetime experience as I can share my culture with an American family.
Most importantly, it would be a great chance to spend an entire year gaining unique experience taking care of children. I am a memories maker, so I want to create wonderful memories as much as possible.
