Introduction
My name is Jeyanthana, and I am from Sri Lanka. I am a caring, responsible, and positive person who truly enjoys spending time with children and supporting families in their daily life.
I have experience caring for children of different ages. Currently, the children I look after attend playschool, and I help with babysitting in the evenings, weekends, holidays, and around three to four days per week(My uncle’s daughters). I support them with daily routines, playtime, meals, and creating a safe and happy environment. I am patient, calm, and always try to understand each child’s needs and personality.
From January 2024 to October 2025, I worked as a Medical Assistant in a private clinic during the evenings from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. This experience helped me become responsible, organized, and confident in handling duties with care and attention. During the daytime, I worked as a babysitter, which strengthened my childcare experience even more.
My first language is Tamil, and I also speak English fluently. I am currently learning German and preparing for the A2 level German exam. I am very motivated to improve my language skills by living with a host family and experiencing everyday life in Germany. Learning about new cultures and languages truly excites me.
I consider myself friendly, honest, adaptable, and respectful. I enjoy spending time with children, doing creative activities, helping with homework, playing games, reading stories, and assisting with light household tasks related to the children. I am also open to learning your family routines and traditions.
My motivation to become an au pair is to experience a new culture, improve my German language skills, and grow personally while being a helpful and reliable part of your family. I would love to build a close relationship based on trust, respect, and open communication.
