Dear Host Family,
My name is Nerea, I am 20 years old, and I come from Zaragoza, a beautiful city in the region of Aragón, Spain. I will be doing my Erasmus in Stockholm from January 18th to June 6th, and during this period I would love to have the opportunity to work with your family as an au pair.
I live with my two parents and our two cats, and my family enjoys spending time outdoors, going roller skating, riding motorbikes, and exploring the mountains. Growing up in such an active and caring family has taught me the importance of responsibility, patience, and having fun while learning.
I have experience working with children since I was 16 years old. I have been a camp and summer-colony leader with Scouts, and I have also worked as a multisport and skating teacher in schools. Additionally, I have experience as an English teacher, helping children learn in an engaging and interactive way. I hold a Youth Leisure Monitor certificate and am confident in my ability to create a positive, safe, and fun environment for children. Although I haven’t worked as a nanny before, I have extensive experience with preschool and primary school children, supporting their basic needs, organizing activities, and helping them learn while having fun.
I am currently studying Primary Education at the University of Zaragoza and completing my school internships. Ever since I was little, I have known that I wanted to be a teacher, and I am passionate about working with children.
I would describe myself as friendly, talkative, creative, and open-minded. I am also patient, organized, and responsible. I enjoy learning, traveling, and staying active. In my free time, I love spending time outdoors, going for walks, roller skating, swimming (I competed in the Aragón swimming championships), jumping rope, and going to the gym. I don’t smoke or drink, and I prefer fun, healthy, and meaningful activities over partying.
My motivation to become an au pair is to share my language and culture, help your children learn Spanish, and support them in their daily activities and homework, while also improving my English, gaining independence, and experiencing Swedish culture firsthand. I am flexible, reliable, and eager to become part of your family, creating meaningful connections and enjoyable experiences together.
