Hello future family,

I'm a 34-year-old South African moving to Málaga in August with my husband and our small chihuahua. After more than ten years in a marketing career, I've decided to step back and study again — and while I do, I'd love to spend my time on something that actually matters to me: being around children and helping a family thrive.

I grew up in a big family and was always the one organising things for the little ones — arts and crafts, swimming, reading together, themed afternoons, even the odd "spa day." That love never went anywhere. I went on to work as a counsellor at a children's summer camp and to volunteer running play-based English classes for Ukrainian children aged 5–9, where the whole idea was to teach through fun rather than formal lessons.

I'm not a teacher, and I won't pretend to be. But I'm familiar with child development and I like to meet a child where they are — matching activities to what's stimulating and right for their stage, so play and learning happen naturally and without pressure.

I speak fluent English and currently around A2 Spanish — I'd love the chance to practise and improve along the way. Practically, I'm easy to have around. I don't have children of my own, so my schedule is flexible and adapts to what works for you, as long as I keep some time for my studies. I'm happy to help keep things tidy, cook basic meals, run errands, and take on the small tasks that make a parent's day lighter. I love animals, so pets are a joy, not a chore. I'm able to travel within the EU if your family needs that, though I'm not looking for a full-time live-in position.

Mostly, I'm warm, reliable, and happy doing this. I'd love to chat with any family who thinks we might be a good fit.
