My name is Rocío, I am 19 years old and I come from Alicante, a sunny coastal city in Spain. I am currently in my first year of university studying Marine Sciences, a field I truly love and hope to pursue in the future through research. However, before continuing with my academic path, I feel a strong desire to explore the world, learn from new cultures, and grow through real-life experiences. Becoming an au pair is something that excites me deeply.
I have always enjoyed spending time with children. For two years, I worked as an English tutor for two kids aged 12 and 16, and I have also taken care of several children in my community. I often help my younger brother with his studies as well. My mother is a preschool teacher, and growing up watching her dedication and creativity has inspired my own love for working with children.
Spanish is my native language, but I am also fluent in English, and I have been studying Korean for some time. I truly enjoy learning languages because they allow me to connect with people in a more meaningful and personal way.
In my free time, I enjoy painting, reading, cooking, and any kind of creative activity. Sports are also an important part of my life; I practice hapkido, a Korean martial art, which has helped me develop discipline, respect, and perseverance.
What motivates me the most about becoming an au pair is the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and experience life in a completely different environment. I want to learn through daily life, through people, and through culture, not only from a classroom. I am responsible, caring, open minded, and very motivated to share my culture while learning from yours.
I would be very happy to support your family, take care of your children with affection and responsibility, and create a positive and enriching experience for all of us. I hope to become someone your children can trust, learn from, and enjoy spending time with.
