I am an enthusiastic, responsible, and caring student who truly enjoys working with children and supporting their growth in a safe and positive environment. I am patient, reliable, and committed to creating a warm relationship with both children and parents so that trust and communication can develop easily.
I am currently on a swimming scholarship in the United States, where I am also studying Elementary Education. I am home for the summer holidays and excited to use this time to continue gaining hands-on experience working with children. I believe my studies in education, combined with my experience as a student-athlete, have helped me develop strong discipline, time management, and teamwork skills.
I have experience looking after children in informal settings, where I assisted with supervision, daily routines, playtime, and homework support. I am also comfortable helping with light household tasks when needed. I always aim to be attentive and understanding, ensuring each child feels supported, safe, and encouraged.
What makes me special is my calm and friendly nature, as well as my ability to connect with children of different ages. I enjoy being creative with activities, whether that is helping with schoolwork in an engaging way, playing games, or encouraging learning through everyday routines. I am fluent in English and Afrikaans, which can be helpful for bilingual families or children learning languages.
I do not have visible tattoos or piercings that would affect my ability to work with families, and I always present myself in a respectful and professional manner.
