Care: My caring nature developed at the age of 15 years old when I cared from my
grandmother who became very unwell before her passing. I supported her with personal care such as washing, preparing meals, sometimes feeding her, help her to use the toilet. Even though she was able to communicate her needs, I was very patient with her as at times needed to listen very closely to understand her.
I am very compassionate and caring person. It comes naturally for me to care for someone in need.
I developed competence skills and confidence during my placement in care home as well as building rapport with the residents and colleagues. I am confident to work with others with the understanding of how to respect and listen to others.
I am a good communicator, verbally, written, and non-verbally.
I was very committed, reliable, honesty trustworthy person. These skills reflect my personality and I believe one has to be able to have as such qualities and character as carer.
