My name is Mbali (known as Ntando), and together with my partner Brooklyn, we are a warm, reliable, and motivated young couple from South Africa who are passionate about childcare, cultural exchange, and creating meaningful connections with the families we work with. Thank you for taking the time to read our profile, we’re excited to introduce ourselves.
I grew up in a caring, close-knit family as the only daughter and older sibling, which naturally shaped me into someone responsible, patient, and nurturing. I’ve always enjoyed being around children, and over the years, I’ve developed strong skills in childcare through babysitting, helping in an orphanage, working with young children, and supporting families with daily routines. I enjoy engaging kids in creative play, educational activities, and anything that helps them feel safe, loved, and confident.
Brooklyn shares my love for children and brings his own strengths. He has four younger siblings and has spent his whole life taking care of them, dropping them off and preparing them for school, cooking for them, and helping with household chores. Together, we make a balanced team, able to provide structure, encouragement, and creativity while remaining calm and attentive during routines like mealtimes, bath time, homework, and bedtime. We can adapt easily to each child’s personality, whether they’re playful, sensitive, strong-willed, or curious.
Outside of childcare, I have a background in drama, English, and psychology, which helps me understand children’s emotions, development, and communication styles. Both of us have worked in various roles that strengthened our organisational skills, time management, and ability to stay composed in busy environments.
I hold a South African driver’s licence and can obtain an International Driving Permit, so I’m comfortable with school runs, errands, and general driving. We are also open to the appropriate visa route depending on your country. We are responsible, respectful of house rules, clean, and happy to help with light household tasks to keep the home running smoothly.
What matters most to us is becoming a positive part of your family’s daily life, someone you can trust, and people your children enjoy being with, bringing support, care, and stability into your home. We value open communication, kindness, and teamwork, and we love learning about new cultures while sharing our own.
