Dear host family
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
My name is Belinda and I am 23 years old. I'm living with my friend, her husband and their 3 kids - Youngest brother of 2 years, older sister of 6 years and the eldest brother of 9 years. I've have been apart of their household/family for the last 2 years.
At the moment I'm a sales representative at a car dealership.I have come to a point in my life where I want to experience more then life as I know it. I want to experience new adventures, new cultures, new oppurtunities, new people. Being an Au Pair will fullfill quite a few important points in my life. As to be a live in Au Pair, I would be fully comfortable with the living arangements. As I currently living with 3 kids in the house which is non-related to me. Being able to help them and share my day with them, is an absolute joy. As household duties are a part of my daily routine, taking them on with a new host family  wouldn't be something new for me.
I have never been abroad as this new oppurtunity would be quite exciting. It would be interesting to learn and maybe teach our different languages. I'm not a difficult person to live with as I'm not a demanding person. I do enjoy cooking for others and I also do enjoy trying new food. I'm not lazy and I'm always willing to help out where I can without being asked. Surely, if you do need help with a specific chore/activity which I'm not aware of, please ask as I would love to help out where I can. I do respect that the house is your house and that I have to follow your house rules. If something isn't working quite as it should, I prefer to talk instead of ignoring it. I am prepared and I am well aware of the fact that being like a big sister for your children comes along with responsibilities for them and it will not always be just play and fun. My calm and patient personality will help me to master more difficult situations for instance when the kids are tired or don’t want to listen to me. I am sure that I will adapt to the new tasks and daily routine quickly and become a big help for you. I lost my mum in a car accident when I was 5 years old and grew up with my sister and grandmother. I keep my friend circle small and only stay in touch with a few close family members. Being abroad would help me experience life through myself and not anyone I want/need in my life. Maybe where I can find and hopefully reach my full potential on my own with new adventures, cultures and people.
