Dear Family, My name is Kayla-Jade, and I’m truly excited at the thought of becoming a part of your family. Working with children is something very close to my heart, and I find so much joy in being part of their growth, learning, and everyday little moments. I previously worked as a teacher’s assistant at a special needs school, where I supported children with Maths, Afrikaans, and English. That experience really shaped me—it taught me patience, empathy, and how important it is to meet each child where they are. Every child is different, and I love taking the time to understand their personality, their needs, and what helps them feel confident and supported. I’ve also spent a lot of time helping my younger cousins with their schoolwork over the years, so I’m comfortable assisting children from Grade R to Grade 5, and I always try to make learning feel encouraging, and stress-free. I would describe myself as kind, gentle, and dependable. I love creating a warm and safe space where children feel happy, heard, and cared for. Whether it’s helping with homework, playing games, or simply being there to listen, I really value building a genuine bond with the children I care for.
