My name is Minique, and I am excited to introduce myself to you as a prospective Au Pair. Working with children has always been something very close to my heart, and I feel incredibly fulfilled when I am able to support their growth, creativity, and happiness in a safe and nurturing environment.
I come from a big, loving family and am a proud aunt to five wonderful children who have played a huge role in shaping my love for childcare. Being actively involved in their lives — from playtime and homework to emotional support and guidance — has given me hands-on, real-life experience in understanding children of different ages and personalities.
Creativity is one of my passions, and I previously had the opportunity to teach art to children. This experience allowed me to encourage self-expression, build confidence, and make learning fun through creative activities. In addition, I spent time in Thailand teaching English, which broadened my cultural awareness and strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to adapt to new environments — all qualities that are very important when caring for children.
Alongside my childcare experience, I also bring strong housekeeping skills due to my background in hospitality. I am comfortable assisting with daily household tasks such as cleaning, organizing, laundry, and maintaining a tidy, structured home — ensuring that families feel supported in every way possible.
I would describe myself as disciplined, fun, and enthusiastic. I believe in creating a balanced environment where children feel safe and respected, while still having lots of fun, laughter, and adventure. I value routine, positive reinforcement, creativity, and open communication with both children and parents.
