Dear family,
My name is Sorina-Eugenia, and I am romanian. I am from Cluj-Napoca, the largest city in the Transylvanain region of Romania. I have got a diploma in classic languages ( Latin and Greek). I want to be an au-pair since I like the company of children and they seem to like me too. I enjoy very much helping their parents with the education. A good au-pair is very important if you find one necessary and I believe I have the necessary skills to be just that: I am very fond of children, I enjoy spending time with them, I am a good care-taker recognizing the importance of a healthy environment, I am patient, obedient, reliable and attentive.
I have been taking care of children of all ages and I found that I am most comfortable and suited for families with children over 6 years old. My skills include cooking a great variety of dishes: I am familiar with the English cuisine, Italian cuisine and also Chinese and Indian. I would say I am fairly good cook considering that all the families I have worked for were pleased and delighted. I am versatile, I have also had a great deal of experience working as a maid, keeping the home clean and tidy ( regular duties such as dusting, hoovering, washing clothes, dishes, ironing etc).
In my spare time I like to go shopping, going to cinema, visiting museums, sightseeing and listening to music of different genres from mainstream pop and R&B to classical music. I also like singing very much. I must stress that besides regular pets, such as dogs, I am not very fond of animals and I don't feel comfortable around them. I am allergic to pollen, sunflower seeds and natural feathers, I also suffer from gastritis ( I cant eat certain things ). I must also tell that I cant drive or swim.
I have a natural inclination towards foreign languages, I speak very good english considering I have studied it for over 8 years now ( 6 years in school and another 2 in University), I have also worked for English families where I have got the change to practice. I also speak very good Spanish. I have studied it for 4 years in High-school and for 2 years in University.
I speak good French, I have studied it for three years in school, for three months in France and I have got the fourth and fifth level ( medium and intermediate in Belgium), and a bit of Italian (basic).
I can tell you about myself that I am congenial, friendly and unpretentious, honest and joyful. I understand the need for privacy and expect the same and when needed I can be very reserved, patient and quiet. I also prefer a respectful conservative family. I can work with people from all walks of life considering I am not a particularly religious but I respect deeply the convictions of others.
I have got references from 6 of the families I have worked for in England and from one family in Switzerland over the years and I can present them to you if interested.
I am available as soon as possible.
For the following year I intend to be a responsible, agreeable au-pair and do my best at it.
