I am a licensed professional teacher and have been employed in a public school since I was 21 years old. I have experiences in teaching Mathematics and Values Education among 11 to 15 years old, including Senior High School learners. I also did face to face and online tutoring, where I teach Math as a part-time. I have experiences as well with Learners with Special Needs. My 3 years of teaching is fun handling diverse learners with different abilities. It helped me grow a lot and understand the world better, facing unique individuals that came from different cultures. It also taught me to be flexible and adaptive in so many ways.

I come from a close-knit family that includes my parents, my brother, my two nieces and two cousins who live with us. Our home is filled with love and support with each other. They shaped me to who I am today. They instilled in me the importance of good values no matter who is in front of me. I’m grateful for our strong foundation. I believe that the lessons they taught me have equipped me that serves beneficial in my professional and personal growth.

Even before teaching, I am already fond with children since most of my cousins are younger than me. My 2 cousins who live with us, sine they were 2 years old, I helped my mother take care of them. Now they are already 12 years old. We take care of them since their mother is in abroad. As a teacher, aside from taking care of my learners, I have nieces which I babysit whenever they would stay in our house. I do activities with them that they would enjoy.

I do impose positive reinforcement so children will have a motivation to do good. I can also empathize to them and provide effective communication so they would respect me. Above all, in taking care of children, the most important thing for me is their safety. This is why I always entertain the thought of being vigilant at all times. I really enjoy working and playing with kids, travelling, exploring and learning new things. I realized that the Au Pair program is the best way to achieve and enjoy these things all at once and decided to go and apply for it so I can tell myself one day that I am glad I tried than regretting for not trying. I am confident in my ability to be a wonderful au pair in a family since I am hardworking, reliable, trustworthy, self-reliant, patient, open-minded, courteous, and most of all, devoted to the welfare of children.
