Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Janica, and I am a 26-year-old from the Philippines. I grew up in a home where taking care of one another is a way of life, and I am excited to bring that warmth and my professional experience to your family as an au pair. I speak English, Tagalog, and Cebuano/Bisaya, and I love the idea of using these languages to build a bridge between our cultures.

My experience with children has been a constant thread throughout my life. Before I started my professional career, I was the primary caregiver for my younger brother and cousins in our hometown of Rizal. After building a successful career in the BPO industry, working for companies like Razer and Amazon from 2019 until I resigned in December 2022, I returned to my first passion: childcare. For the past few years, I have been dedicated to caring for my niece, nephews, and goddaughters. I’ve handled everything from the high-dependency needs of infants and toddlers to the energetic and academic needs of early teens.

I would describe myself as a cheerful, active, and caring person. I’m the type of caregiver who loves to get on the floor and play, whether we are singing and dancing or playing team sports to stay active. In quieter moments, I enjoy challenging the kids to a game of chess, reading together, or helping with their homework. My years in the corporate world taught me how to be organized, punctual, and highly responsible, but my heart is happiest when I’m exploring nature—especially the mountains and beaches—or sharing a fun movie night with the family.

My goal as an au pair is to grow as a person, gain international independence, and build a genuine, lasting connection with your family. I am ready to be a "big sister" figure who is not only fun and creative but also reliable and disciplined when it comes to routines and safety.
