Dear Family,
I am already very excited about getting to know you but first, allow me introduce myself to you.
My name is Lallyn Barile. I am 26 years old, Filipino, single, do not have children and currently living in Cebu City, Philippines where I am currently employed as an accounting staff in an advertising company.
My home address is located in Padre Sergio Eamiguel, a barangay located in the beautiful province of Biliran. I belong to a family of six. I am the eldest daughter and I have three younger sisters, Isabel, Danniella and Trecia Mae. My parents Anecito and Lolina are both 47 years old, and are working as a housekeeper and a ductman fabricator.
As the eldest of the family, I know how to do household chores, babysit and take care of children because I used to babysit my three younger sisters so that I could help ease my mother’s load of work at home. Babysitting them when they were younger developed my love for children though it was not easy as kids will always be kids, but it was all fulfilling seeing them grew up and have that kind of special bond as siblings while we grow up. I have also developed the sense of taking up the responsibility and the patience in taking care of them specially when my mom will do her errands in the town and I will be the sole adult at home. As of now I have three beautiful nieces from my younger sister Danniella and Isabel, I enjoy playing and babysitting them whenever I have time to visit them in our home province.
I would love to be your Au Pair because I love children and I enjoy spending time with them. I am prepared and I am well aware of the fact that being like a big sister for your children comes along with responsibilities for them and it will not always be just play and fun. My calm and patient personality that I have developed through taking care of my younger siblings will help me to overcome more difficult situations for instance when the kids are tired or don’t want to listen to me. I am sure that I will adapt to the new tasks and daily routine quickly and will become a big help for your daily routine. Living with me is really easy as I am not a demanding person. I do respect that the house is your house and that I have to follow your rules. If something works not quite as it should, I prefer to talk instead of ignoring things.
During my leisure time, I love spending it with by listening to podcasts, watching Netflix movies and series or reading books. Before the pandemic hits, I used to take a small travel time either within the places here in Cebu with my workmates, in its nearby island the province of Bohol where I was born, or back at the island where I grew up, Biliran. These are few of the nearby places I’ve been to because I also consider in taking time to balance it with my work schedule. Since the Philippines is made up of islands, each of them has its own culture and through these small travels I learned about the different culture of the provinces I have been to, I have gained friends and met friendly locals. Traveling, immersing to different cultures, meeting and interacting with the locals, seeing nature in a different perspective are the things I wanted to do because these are the things that helps me put my own life into perspective by trying new things. So, when I heard about the Au Pair program in Europe through a Facebook friend’s post, I learned that I can do all the things I wanted. I am excited to travel, live with your family, immerse in your culture and learn your language!
Lastly, I would like to inform you that I am fully vaccinated and a passport holder already.
