LETTER TO MY FUTURE HOST FAMILY

I heard that you are looking for an au pair and I would like to be a part of your wonderful family. My name is Maureen.
I am Maureen, 23 years old, single and no child from Philippines. I graduated Teacher Education as my Bachelors Degree hence I am inclined with children for so many years. I would describe myself as an open-minded, hard-working, easy going, friendly, dedicated and responsible person. I can do household chores such as tidying up, laundry, ironing clothes, cleaning windows, cooking food and preparing food your children. I am organized person which I make sure all the things I do would be systematically clean and organized. I am a pet lover who really loves rare cats and dogs hence I will be able to walk and taking care of your pets if you have. I also love to swim. I love to take pictures with beautiful scenery such as sunset and other views in the environment. I also love biking in my leisure .
I have nearly 5 years of extensive experience in childcare, primarily caring for my nephews aged 3, 6 and 9 years old during my cousins' absence. This role involved not only basic caregiving tasks like bathing and feeding but also included educational aspects where I passionately taught them fundamental topics such as counting and reading.
Furthermore, I serve as a dedicated Sunday School Teacher within our church since 2016 until now, responsible for teaching and taking care children aged 3-12 years old. During the Sunday Service, I adeptly manage the 3-5-year-olds, creating a conducive environment by engaging them in inspiring Bible stories and coordinating enjoyable activities. This role requires a unique skill set, as I navigate the challenge of maintaining silence and minimizing disruptions during the service, especially given the inherent stubbornness of children in the 35 age range.
In addition to my extensive childcare experience, I have actively contributed to the culinary aspects of children's programs during Vacation Bible School and Summer Youth Camps. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to not only care for the well-being of the children but also actively participate in the preparation of meals. This involvement has allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of catering to the dietary needs and preferences of children in a group setting.
During Vacation Bible School and Summer Youth Camps, I've taken on the responsibility of planning and preparing nutritious and appealing meals that align with the dietary guidelines while ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for the children. This hands-on involvement in the kitchen has provided me with valuable insights into the importance of balance and variety in children's meals, taking into consideration their diverse tastes and nutritional requirements.
Through these diverse experiences spanning almost a decade, I have honed my childcare abilities and solidified my genuine passion for nurturing and educating children.
