Dear host family,
I am already thrilled to meet and get to know you. But, first of all, I would like to introduce myself to you.
My name is Trenah Owens. I am 24 years old and I’m from Cavite, Philippines. I studied Bachelor of Science in International Travel and Tourism Management at Lyceum of the Philippines University - Cavite. I was a Dean’s Lister and Partial Scholar at the University where I studied. Right after my graduation, I flew to Virginia, USA to participate in the J1 Internship.
Since I just got back home from the Philippines, I am currently living together with my parents and sister. The area where we live is surrounded by greeneries and the ocean. We have a lovely dog named Chi, and she is playful and clingy to every member of the family. We also have a family farm. It's about 5-10 mins drive from our house. Ever since my Dad retired as a Chief Cook in the Tanker Ship he started planting veggies, fruits, and growing animals on the farm. While my Mom owned a small business in town. My sister Vettina just got married a few months ago and she’s having a baby. She's living with my parents right now because her house is under construction. I have always had a big heart with kids so I am excited to see my sister’s baby. Moreover, I have a massive family and relatives members on both my mother's and father's sides. I would describe myself as a reliable and caring person, who tries to make the best out of every situation. I like spending time with my friends; they are – as well as my family – very important to me. Always trying to help, and I’m always there for them if they need me.
?In my free time, I like to go shopping, read historical books, ski, ice skating, and golfing.
Furthermore, as a Filipina, we love singing and dancing. Most of the time when I was bored I filmed myself while singing and dancing.

For the past few years, I have been babysitting my cousins, nieces, and nephews. Nevertheless, in my recent job as an intern in the US, I was exposed to the kids. My role in the Activities department was to look up to the kids or teenagers who were participating in the classes and activities. Through this time, I have found out how much fun it is to have children around, I can’t imagine a life without them.
?The reason why I want to go to Denmark as an au pair is that I want to get to know the Danish way of living, as well as their culture. Most importantly, it would be a great chance to spend an entire year or more to take care of children. And of course, it would be great to learn a new language that I can use in the near future for the field of my study.
I hope we can develop a good relationship, working and living together as a family. I would be very happy to experience an eventful year with you and your kid/s. I am looking forward to meeting you
