Dear My Future Host Family:
I am writing to express my interest in applying as an Au Pair in your family. I am a University degree holder. We are three in the family. I have two sisters and I am the only son. We are living a simple and happy life in our province here in the Philippines. We live simply in the lower greenery area of the hills in our barrio, between the long stretched river and near the open ocean sea, a rural area of Oriental Mindoro our province in the Philippines. We are surrounded by the grace of nature, giving livelihood for our neighborhood. We move to Manila to study and work which I am currently at together with my siblings. I take good care of my auntie who is a Person with Disability (PWD). I have experienced in childcare and tutoring with ages ranging from 3 months old baby up to fifteen and above, also pets, and all around household chores. I also provide childcare from my niece's, nephew's, and cousin's babies, especially when they are both at work. At an early age I was already exposed in different household chores (all around) despite of my gender being male. I am also an adventurous type of person in terms of learning and travelling. I don’t just want to experience but to embrace and to dive into the culture of any country.
The candidate should host me, because of my experiences of doing household chores (all around), babysitting, and tutoring, despite of my gender being male. I am also funny and easy to be with. One thing I am proud of is the fact that I am trustworthy of taking good care of their children and babies and the responsibilities, and that is something that I highly appreciated and valued. And if given a chance I would love to do the same to your family especially to your children.
I want to become an Au Pair not just only for the opportunity to travel but above all the opportunity and privilege to know the culture and learn the language, to embrace and to dive into the rich, vibrant, and colorful history of their culture, food, the people, and everything about the origin of the country.
I am a person of simplicity, hard work, passion, humbleness, morale, and values. I am also great in planting fruit bearing trees, flowers, vegetables and many others. I am proud to say that I am a trustworthy and reliable person, and that the families and parents of my previous child care experiences could tap and rely on me anytime to look after their children. My hobbies are reading law books, swimming, playing badminton, volleyball, hiking, biking, planting, cooking, baking, watching documentaries, tutoring, babysitting, and doing household chores (all around).
After my Au pair, if given the opportunity I would want to continue studying the language deeply and if along the way opportunity comes in, I would definitely want to work to provide the needs of my family, for my family.
