Dear future host family,
My name is Kathleen Jean. I am 24 years old from Philippines. I graduate of Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration. I am currently work as a Pre Delivery Inspection Admin in a car industry company but decided to quit my job and chase my dreams in other countries. I am understanding, diligent, flexible, trustworthy, helpful, patient, energetic, responsible individual, creative mindset and I pick up instruction quickly and easy to adjust to a new setting or environment. My hobbies are playing sports like badminton and volleyball, dancing, singing, drawing, watching movies or tiktok, cooking, travel, and also playing with kids and dogs. I have developed a variety of skills and knowledge from this experience that will aid me in carrying out my responsibilities as an au pair. I became the professional that I am today, and working with your family will help me develop even more as an au pair. Travelling is really my passion.
I had child care experience when I was 16 years old because I’m the one who takes good care of my cousins
name Angel she's 9 years old and her Ethan was 2 months old that time since my uncle and aunt are working. I was a high school that time and my Angel is elementary we are same school so I handled day-to-day tasks like getting her ready for school, drop-off and pick-up, taking her to the park and a host of other activities. I taught her educational songs, games and was always coming up with projects or crafts for her to do. When I go home or no class I will have a walk with Ethan, I will feed him, playing with him and put him to sleep. Also I experience with home-based tutorials of other children as well and part of that is playing with them, teaching, reading stories, singing songs and all, besides that I love taking care of kids and their health, safety, and happiness are the most important to me. I would characterize my strength as my ability to form strong bonds with children, fit in well, and as result, be able to mentor them in different aspects in life and act as their big sister especially when parents are not around. On the other hand, I would say that my weakness is that I have a difficult time letting go of anything or someone since I emotionally find it difficult myself from children.
You can count me in doing household chores such as cleaning, washing, ironing and cooking as well doing
groceries or marketing. When I was a college I am alone so I was very independent on doing these household
chores.
