Dear Future Host Family,
I hope you’re doing well, and I thank you for taking the time to read my letter. My name is Jesha, and I am writing to express my enthusiasm about the opportunity to become an Au Pair for your family. I am incredibly excited to become a part of your household and to embark on a new journey together.
Let me begin by telling you a little bit about myself. I am 27 years old. I was born and raised in the Philippines and am currently residing in Cavite. I graduated from University with a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism. I had my internship in Krabi, Thailand, from December 2018 to March 2019 as a food and beverage attendant. After graduating from college, I worked with Air France and KLM from October 2019 until September 2023 as a customer service representative who handled calls, e-mails, and chats for Flying Blue members.
I am living with my mother, an older brother, and two pets (a cat and a dog). My mother is a single mom who has raised us alone since we were children. My older brother just turned 31 years old last May 2024. We have two lovely pets that we treat as our babies, named Ella (the cat) and Milo (the dog). We are just a small family.
For my hobbies, I really love to sing, watch movies and series, dance (sometimes), play with our pets, bond with my family and friends, and travel occasionally. I can also bake, cook simple dishes, swim, and ride a bike. As for my traits, I would describe myself as a selfless, trustworthy, reliable, sweet, caring, responsible, respectful, and open-minded person. Fairness is also important to me because I believe that every one of us deserves to be treated rightly and fairly. When it comes to tasks, I always prioritize them and make sure that everything is properly done.
I have had a lot of child-care experiences through our family members, friends, and even neighbors. So, I think I am suitable to become an Au Pair. Most of the activities that I have done with the kids are watching their favorite movies or cartoons, playing with their toys like dolls and robots, preparing their foods and helping them eat, helping them with their homeworks, helping them take a bath, walking or running outside their house, going to the mall, and sometimes playing in an arcade.
I would love to become your next Au Pair because, aside from my love and care for children, I also want to experience being a part of your lovely family. I promise you that I will always give my 100% for everything. I will treat the kids as my younger siblings, and I will also treat you as my real parents. I am excited to experience your own culture and share my own culture with your family as well.
