Introduction

Dear Family,

Warm greetings! My name is Ronelie, and I’m truly excited about the possibility of becoming part of your family as an Au Pair. I believe that caring for children is one of the most meaningful and fulfilling experiences in life, and I would be honored to share my skills, warmth, and energy with your household.

I am currently completing my graduate thesis while working at Tarlac Agricultural University as a Private Secretary and Administrative Assistant under the Office of the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. I graduated cum laude with a degree in Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education, major in Agriculture and Fishery Arts. Through my background in education, I’ve developed a love for teaching, nurturing, and encouraging others to grow at their own pace.

As the eldest daughter in our family, I have always been a natural caregiver. I helped raise my three younger siblings, who are much younger than I am — with age gaps of 8, 17, and 20 years. From changing diapers and preparing meals to helping with schoolwork and offering emotional support, I learned early on how to be responsible, patient, and dependable. Those experiences shaped my personality and strengthened my desire to help children discover the world with curiosity and confidence.

I would describe myself as caring, open-minded, and genuinely curious about life. I enjoy learning about different cultures, languages, foods, and traditions. I also have a deep respect for diversity and believe that every culture offers something beautiful to learn from.

In my free time, I love being close to nature—hiking, gardening, and spending time at the beach are some of my favorite ways to relax and reflect. I also love music! I enjoy singing and hope to learn how to play the violin or cello someday. Cooking is another passion of mine. I can prepare healthy and tasty meals, and I’m currently exploring baking and barista skills as new hobbies.

I’m also comfortable with pets—especially dogs and cats—as I see them as part of the family, too (though I must admit, reptiles and mice aren’t quite my comfort zone ?).

Through my experience in both education and administration, I’ve become highly organized, dependable, and adaptable. I take pride in doing my work thoroughly and with heart, whether it’s helping a child learn new things, assisting with household routines, or sharing a good laugh after a long day.

As an Au Pair, I hope to become a positive and supportive presence in your home. I want to help care for your children as if they were my own siblings—guiding them with love, respect, and understanding. I would also love to share parts of my culture, such as Filipino warmth, hospitality, and joy in simple things, while learning from yours in return.

Most of all, I want you to feel that you can trust me—not just as a helper, but as someone who truly values family, communication, and kindness. I know how important it is to have someone in your home who treats everyone with respect and who can be relied upon in daily life.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my letter. I would be so happy to become a part of your family’s story, to learn, care, and grow together.

Warmly,
Your Future Au Pair,
Ronelie
