I am writing this letter to introduce myself to my future host family. My name is Bryan John, an English graduate with so much passion working with children, cultural diversity and growth. As a family oriented individual, I truly value having strong connections and bonds among my siblings, nephews, niece and with my parents. I’ve been helping my sister and brother with their kids when they have errands to do and I was the full-time caretaker of my parents when they were both bedridden last year, 2022 while pursuing my bachelor’s degree in English Language. In the same year, my father passed away and he always taught me to explore the world as he was once a fisherman who managed to travel to different countries in Asia, appreciate everyone’s differences, respect and see the beauty of each individual’s origin, culture and belief.
Knowing this beautiful program called Au Pair is indeed a great opportunity for people like me who want to experience new cultures, learn new languages and travel the world. I believe that this program will help me to find my future host family who has the same values as I do. My hobbies include swimming, painting, sketching, camping, teaching kids, pet photography, aquascaping, outdoor activities, etc. I am an outgoing being with a positive attitude towards people. I am very considerate with people’s feelings so before I act, I’ll always put myself in their shoes. I love to explore the world, appreciate origins, culture and diversity. I want to learn a new language, understand it with so much interest, passion and respect.
I know for a fact that I can only stay for a year with my future host family. Thus, I’ll make sure that I’ll make life out of it and abide by all the rules and laws to prevent trouble. After my journey and time with your lovely family, I’ll go back to my home country, the Philippines and share my story to my countryman. I would inspire them to explore the world, learn new languages and culture and most importantly, respect everyone’s differences.
