Mabuhay Host Family!

I would love to be your next Au pair. I'm Darline Mae, I'm 22 years old. I was born and raised in Cebu, Philippines. I am a senior high school graduate with the strand of humanities and social sciences batch 2018 to 2022 and have a 2 years solid background in Customer Service gained by working in a retail business industry and BPO industry. I came from a family of 5. My mom is just a single mom. I have 3 siblings, 2 sisters, and 1 brother; all of them have their own families, and I am the youngest, the only single person in the family. My father died when I was 6 years old, and I opened a sari sari store that is a common small business here in the Philippines for my mother. I have 3 nieces, 4 nephews, and a baby coming from my sister. Since I've got a lot of nephews and nieces, I've got experience in preparing meals for them, helping with homework, and play with them. I've had experience with infants, having cared for my own nephews and nieces, which enabled me to take care of all aspects of child care, including feeding, bath time, nappy change, as well as comfort and support. Since I'm good at household work, I can help with housework as well. When we were young, we helped our mother with household work. As siblings, we have different duties at home that we have to perform every day.

I would love to describe myself as an open-minded, calm, caring, committed, fun, independent, dependable, and dedicated individual. I like to do outdoor activities, going to the beach, and traveling when I'm free. I’m very fond of planning trips and go on a short adventures. I'm fond of trying new foods, immersing myself in the beautiful cultures of other places, and meeting local people. I also played sports; sometimes I played badminton and archery.

The reason why I want to be an Au pair is cultural exchange, childcare experience, travel opportunities, and language learning, as well as intercultural understanding promotion. In addition to contributing to the host family's childcare needs, being an au pair abroad can offer a unique combination of cultural, educational, and personal development experiences. Being an Au pair will give me the chance to become a better version of myself, and prepare for whatever my future may bring.

I'm hoping we'll develop a good relationship, work together, and live together as a family. I'd love to spend an exciting year with you and your kids. I'm looking forward to speaking with you.
