My name is Mae and I am from the Philippines. I would describe myself as a caring, patient, and responsible person who naturally enjoys helping others and being part of a supportive home environment.
I have hands-on experience in childcare from living with my cousins’ children, where I helped take care of them from newborn stage to early childhood. This experience taught me how to handle different routines, be patient during difficult moments, and stay attentive to children’s needs throughout the day. I also understand how important consistency, safety, and emotional care are when looking after young children.
Aside from childcare, I also have strong experience in household support and organization from my previous work in customer service and support. It helped me become more detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and reliable when handling responsibilities.
One of the things that makes me unique is my deep experience in caring for animals. I am a proud fur mom of 10 cats, and this has taught me daily responsibility, patience, and genuine care. Looking after multiple pets has made me very observant and consistent in maintaining routines, whether it’s feeding schedules, cleanliness, or understanding different behaviors.
I also enjoy cooking simple meals and I would be happy to help prepare food for the family while learning new recipes and cultural dishes. I believe sharing meals is one of the best ways to connect with people and feel at home.
In terms of personal appearance, I do not have any tattoos. I do have piercings, but they are not visible.
What makes me special is my natural caregiving nature. I don’t only do tasks when asked—I naturally notice what needs to be done and try to help in a calm and supportive way. I also adapt easily to new environments and respect family routines and values.
I am currently based in the Philippines and I am very motivated to become an au pair abroad to experience cultural exchange, grow independently, and be part of a family where I can contribute positively to daily life.
