Introduction
My name is Zharkynai Maratova. At present, I am working as a clerk in a state kindergarten. I
am responsible, considerate, open-minded and kind person. I am also empathetic and
understanding person, who always cares about other people’s feelings. In my free time, I enjoy
reading, watching Korean TV shows and movies, listening to music. I also enjoy cooking, baking
cakes for my family, and learning languages. I can speak Kyrgyz, Russian, English, a little bit
German and Korean.
I come from a family with several generations of pediatricians. My grandmother, mother and
sister are pediatricians. In childhood I spent a lot of time with children who came to our home for
counseling. Because I grew up in such a family, I learned how to recognize some illnesses and
treat them. I am the youngest in my family but for many years we lived as two families in one
house. My uncle has three daughters younger than me – Ayana, Zhanymzhan and Damira, so we
grew up as siblings. I took care of Ayana and Zhanymzhan as an older sister. I helped them with
their studies and we did homework together. I cooked for them and taught them how to cook. In
2021, Damira was born. I took care of her from the first days. I fed her formula, changed her
diapers, bathed her, cut her nails and put her to sleep. Damira was often sick, when this
happened, I followed the treatment prescribed by the doctor. Also, she was colicky, so when she
cried, I soothed her.
Continuing on about my family, in September 2023, I became an aunt. My sister gave birth to
my nephew Emir. He was delivered trough C-section. I took care of my sister and my nephew in
the hospital - I brought food, helped my sister walk, gave her breast massage, went with her for
dressings and ultrasounds. After discharge, they lived at our house for the first month. I cooked
diet meals for my sister, did chores, did laundry, and changed linens often. I also took care of my
newborn nephew. I changed his diapers, gave him massages, put him to sleep, rocked him in my
arms when he was colicky, helped bathe him and took him for walks.
In addition, looking after my sisters and nephew, I worked as a tutor for the neighborhood
children. In 2020, for a year I was a math tutor for Akylai and Zharkynai, 5th and 6th grade
students. I made sure that the girls did their homework, explained topics they did not understand,
answered their questions about math tasks, checked their solutions, and if they solved them
incorrectly, I guided them to the correct solution. This experience of working with adolescence
taught me to be more patient and understanding.
Furthermore, in 2021, I worked as an assistant teacher for 1,5 years in the kindergarten where I
currently work. I studied at university and got a part-time job in a kindergarten. I worked in a
group with 1,5-2 years old children. As an assistant teacher, I kept all the rooms clean, set the
tables for the children, cleared the tables, and washed the dishes. I also potty-trained the children,
spoon-fed them, put them to bed, and took them for walks. I helped the teacher organize
children's matinees and holidays, decorate the rooms with various decorations made of felt and
colored paper.
As you can see from my letter every part of my life is somehow connected to children, love them
and caring of them. I enjoy being around kids and helping them learn and grow. I would like to
become a part of your family and a good friend to your children. I am looking forward to hearing
from you soon.
Sincerely, Zharkynai Maratova.
