Introduction
Hello my name is Bridgit Ellcy I’m a 22 year old from Kenya. I’ve always loved being around kids from a very young age, my mum had a daycare since I was three years old.
I have always helped her around with the kids and that’s something that I don’t find as a task but something I really enjoy doing. Being around children has not only given me a chance to teach them but I’ve also learnt alot from them. Being positive minded is one character I’ve learned from alot of kids and I really appreciate it because it has really had a positive impact on my life.
I would describe myself as kind , responsible ,hardworking and a very open minded person, as I’m always eager to learn about new cultures and people’s way of life.
Becoming an au pair is not only a chance for me to support a family but also an opportunity for me to improve my skills in childcare and experience life in a new environment and get to experience a different culture.
I’m such a hardworking person who is ready to help with household tasks related to children while following your families routine and values. I’m so eager to help the kids with doing their homework and playing with them as spending time with kids is something I really look forward to everyday.
My goal in being an au pair is to create a warm positive relationship with my family host and the children and making everyone one of them feel safe as a believe creating a safe space for the family build trust and respect amongst both of us.
I’m safe to say that I’ve been around kids for the longest of time as my first job was working at my mother’s daycare.I believe children are the most kindest people you will ever meet and you just need to take your time and understand them as kids have different personalities.
I’m really looking forward to get this chance of getting a family host as I will be able to get exposure and understand the different cultures and childcare experiences.
