I have one year of childcare experience as an au pair in Sweden. During my time there, I assisted with daily routines, school preparation, homework support, meal preparation, organizing playtime activities, and bedtime routines. This experience allowed me to fully understand the responsibilities of the au pair role while living with a host family in a different culture.
While in Sweden, I also cared for a child with autism. This strengthened my patience, empathy, and ability to adapt to individual needs. I learned the importance of consistency, calm communication, and creating a supportive environment where a child feels secure and understood.
Living abroad helped me become more independent, flexible, and culturally aware. I understand the importance of trust, mutual respect, and open communication between parents and an au pair, and I value building a positive and cooperative relationship within the family.
I enjoy engaging children in creative and educational activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling, outdoor play, and learning games. I am also happy to assist with light household duties related to the children, including keeping their spaces tidy and organized.
