Dear future host family,
My name is Beverly Achieng'.I am 27 years old, unmarried and from Mombasa city, Kenya. I hold a diploma in Broadcast journalism and media. I was also a German student at the Goethe Institute, for about 3 years. I have completed my B1,awaiting to sit for my exams in April. I currently work as a librarian at an international school, where I enjoy interacting with children and supporting their learning and curiosity. Before this, I worked as a front office receptionist at a hotel, which helped me develop strong skills in organization, communication, and hospitality. I would describe myself as friendly, talkative, caring, and enthusiastic. I enjoy meeting new people and forming meaningful connections.
In my free time, I love reading fiction books, swimming, riding bicycles, and crocheting. I also enjoy journaling, singing, baking, making media content, and exploring new restaurants. Volunteering is very important to me; I actively help at my church, from registering children for programs to participating in the worship team, and I also volunteer wherever I see a need, whether in community centers or other organizations.
After my time as an au pair, I hope to continue working with children in educational or creative settings. I am excited to use the cultural experiences, language skills, and personal growth I gain abroad to broaden my opportunities and become even more confident and independent. I look forward to sharing my energy, creativity, and caring nature with my future host family while learning from them as well.
