Hello, my name is Joan, a 28 year old of Kenyan nationality currently living in Kenya. I speak fluent English and Swahili.
I graduated at a University in Kenya with a Bachelor's degree , BA (Kiswahili) which is our native language (Swahili) in 2019. After my graduation I managed to acquire a short-term job as an institutional administrator. Thereafter, I decided to work online as a writer, researcher and transcriber.
While conducting research and aiding with student essays online, I developed a great interest in sociology and had a passion for childcare and protection . Over the years I have been helping with taking care of children even as a student. Being a first born in my family, I also got lucky enough to help my parents with taking care of my younger siblings.
During school holidays, I tutor a few of my relatives and neighbours' kids. I also help in taking care of their kids. I play with the kids, read them stories, help them with school work, sing and even dance.
I would like to become an Au pair abroad because I am passionate about learning other people's cultures. It is interesting to interact with people from different places across the world because it gives one an opportunity to view the world in a different perspective and be able to reinvent oneself.
