Hello , my future host family!!
I hope you are doing very well.
My name is Shuma and I'm from Hiroshima. I was going to do AuPair after my university but COVID happened and I ended up going to Australia and I just came back from there after 1 year of working as barista, front of house, retails and catering stuff. When I was at university, I studied education for elementary school students and I am certificated as a teacher as well.
As you can see the photo collage, I like a lot of things, such as playing sports, singing and listening to music, watching movies, cooking, drawing, traveling, photography, crafting, languages, fashion, animals and human, of-course!!
I have been wanting to do AuPair for a long time because it makes a few of my dream come true. I would like to work at school for kids but I can’t use my degree in the USA, so home staying at your house and take care of your children would be kind of the same or even better!! I can experience new things with you as a part of your family which sounds awesome. There must be a lot of differences between my county and yours in many ways because we have different environment and cultures.
When I helped a preschool in New Zealand, I saw a kid fell over and got hurt and not even crying, he was getting a bandage and asked to be treated by teachers. I was surprised when I saw it. He was very independent and I reacted differently when I was a child. It is just an example but how we raise children are different and I am willing to know it.
The reason why I picked the USA for an AuPair is the USA is my dream country.
It has always been and I have never been there. Maybe too much watching movies but still I am pretty sure that it is going to be so much fun and bright!! I hoped to go to school in the USA too but when I thought about doing AuPair was a little too late and it is expensive to study there so it helps doing it through an Au pair.
I would like to make a bunch of friends and have so much American experiences with them and you guys.
If I will be your AuPair, I would like to have a nice relationship with you guys and even after this program hopefully. I would like to do many things together. With your children, I would like to be like brothers and have a strong bond. I can do indoor and outdoor and I am easy going, so even a new thing to me, I would be happy to try it. I still have plenty of stamina as well, don’t worry about it. I studied education, so I can help them studying as well if needed. I can use my skills from my teaching practice at my old school and my experiences from the pasts. I liked seeing their grow ups. When they were trying something thing, and couldn’t do it but finally made to do it, they are genuinely happy and it makes happy and it is so cute.
Children's ideas and what they do could be unexpected in a good way and a bad way sometimes but I like it and there are a lot to learn too. I would like to know how they think and do.
I understand the responsibility of doing this and I will promise you to take care of your children well. I will do my best to be an example for them.
