Dear host family,
I’m Hajar, 28 y and I’m Italian.
A part form Italian and English I can speak as well French and Spanish.
I have a bachelor degree in Business&Economics curriculum Management, a course completely in English at the University of Bologna Business School.
A part from my studies and work related to that ambit I have always worked with kids. I did it as a side job but not just for this reason, it was also because when I’m with kids I feel full of energy and you look away from technical things.
They make you think out of the box with all those questions that are smart and should be taken into consideration!
Since I was 15 I always worked with kids and worked as an educator, an animator and translator at Summer Camp, Sentiero di speranza in my home town in Italy.
Thanks to this opportunity I was gathered by different children’s and from various ages I was able not just to understand but also tech them that we are all the same no matter where you come from or the label the society gives you, as a base we are all humans and just for the we should be respect one anther.
I used to organise the playing activities for the kids starting from the age of 5 up to 13 as well as plan each lesson of English as it was a Canadian Summer Camp, super-visioning the group during the various activities and first aid.
I’m full of ideas and I unleash my creativity with the art and crafts projects that I organise for the kids.
I also had an experience in Seoul, South Korea as a nanny for a Korean family but it was just for a 8 months. I was looking after 2 kids, brother and sister of 6 and 8 years old.
This experience was not my only one as my last one was in Ireland (kids age: 8, 6 and 2) while I was as well working for a logistic company (until March 2024) as Operations Manager plus some in Italy, in my home town as I did take many positions during high school and university. My last experience was in Switzerland, unfortunately it was just a temporary live in nanny for two lovely kids, age 4 and 2.
So basically, I have several years of experience working as a professional nanny in different countries, including Italy, Switzerland, Ireland, and South Korea. I have cared for children aged 2 to 13 and 6 months to 12 months (in Italy), providing full-time and live-in care.
My responsibilities included planning daily routines, preparing healthy meals, organizing educational and recreational activities, and helping with schoolwork. I also have experience teaching English, French and working in summer camps as an educator and translator.
I would describe myself as a patient, compassionate and creative person. I genuinely enjoy working with children and helping them learn and grow in a positive environment. I am reliable, organized, and always try to communicate openly with parents to ensure the best care possible. I also love to bring creativity into my work through art and crafts, storytelling, and educational play.
