Dear Host Family,
My name is Cecelia. I’m 23 years old. I come from Indonesia. I can speak English and German pretty well, and Indonesia is my mother tongue. My hobbies are cooking, traveling, photography, and doing sports. My type of person is friendly, patient, and reliable. I like to learn and try new things. I like riding a bike. I love nature and going for a walk. I also like pets, and I have a small dog.
My daily activities are learning the language, crafts, drawing, cooking, and sometimes baking, as well as helping my mother with her business and household. I’m an open-minded and hard-working person. I want to learn new things. Now that I have learned German level B1, Korean level, and Chinese level beginner, I made a blog on Instagram to share my notes. When I have free time, I watch some dramas or films, or I meet a friend. When I met with my friend, I learned a lot about how to take care of and carry a baby and toddler, and we cooked together. I also watch a variety of shows about taking care of children, and I have learned a lot about children and parenting. I also like learning about new food receipts from other countries. Sometimes I try to re-cook what I have learned.
My experience with children. Since I’m 6 years old, it was after I moved to Surabaya. I met a boy from my neighbor and my new friend at school. We did crafts together, rode bikes, learned together, and sometimes drew and played. I also have experience with babies. One of them is a baby from my friend. I help her when I visit her home. I help change clothes, change diapers, put a baby to sleep, feed, carry the baby, and prepare for the baby's bathing. I learn and get a lot of experience taking care of children from my friend.
I am interested in the Au Pair program because I love children so much and like to learn languages. And then I will have many new experiences. Of course, the program can help me improve my language skills and learn directly about habits and cultures, especially cuisine. I can also visit and feel about a few of the festivals and museum arts.
I hope that I will take part in this program and that I can build a good relationship with a new family in a new country. I would like to love more with the children and can also simply adapt to the outside world. I’m a responsible person and can be trusted. I want to love your family and become a good friend to your child.
