I'm 22 from Lombok island, Indonesia.
looking to experience different cultures, improve and learn new languages.
I am very independent, open-minded, friendly, creative and imaginative. My friends say I'm very easy and fun to talk to for someone with a quiet first impression. Arts and crafts(drawing, music, handmade, and movies) is a medium that my best friend and I are very close.
Although this will be my first au pair, I'm confident in my ability to take care of children since a few years ago. Many aunts,uncles, my older brother sister and neighbors trust me with their children when they are working. Because of this work, I know how to put children to bed, play with them, or bathe them.
And because my brother and sister-in-law work full time and go on business, I have been actively involved in the growth and development stages of my nieces and nephews for the past 2 years. Accompanying them since newborn, putting them to bed, staying up late to give breast milk, crawling, sitting without support, eating until their first steps, especially these few days my nephews are actively walking.
I love them.
But of course, there are some differences between how children are raised in my country and yours.Hopefully we can share and learn from each other.
I like watching movies and animations, reading novels or comics, there are many things and new points of view that can be learned.
Usually in the morning I take a walk around the house with my nieces and nephews, or other times I ride my bike to the green areas and in the evening we play together while waiting for their parents to come home.
In some important moments and if we go to a place with a beautiful view I turn into a photographer.
Cooking for the family has become a new habit.
My first expectation after joining the Au pair program is that my language skills can improve because I practice directly. Living abroad means seeing from a different perspective and being more open to new environments. If I have the opportunity, I would like to continue my studies after getting used to the language, culture, food, transportation and weather
I will be taught to be more independent, responsible and can manage my time better. I can learn parenting and know the best parenting for my nieces and nephews for now.
And I will make new friends and family
