Introduction
My name is Anggita, and I am a caring, responsible, and motivated individual with a strong interest in working with children and exploring new cultures. I come from Indonesia and hold a degree in agriculture, which has deepened my love for nature and the environment. I am truly excited about the opportunity to become an Au Pair and to be part of your family.
I’m patient, responsible, and adaptable. I enjoy learning especially languages and cultures and I’m organized in handling daily tasks. I stay calm in challenging situations and love helping others whenever I can. Sometimes I tend to overthink when facing something completely unfamiliar. But I take it as a learning process and always try to improve step by step.
I want to become an Au Pair because I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and supporting their growth through play and learning. With my background in agriculture, I love to introduce children to the wonders of nature, whether through gardening, outdoor walks, or simple nature-based stories and games. I understand that younger children, especially babies, have different needs. I’m happy to adjust my approach by engaging them with sensory activities, gentle music, story time, or calm outdoor moments, always focusing on safety, comfort, and developmentally appropriate care.
Although I don’t currently hold formal certificates in childcare, my experience has taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of nurturing each child’s individual personality and pace. As the oldest child of three, I’ve naturally been involved in raising and taking care of my siblings. Even though the age gap between us is quite big, it makes me experienced in caring for kids. During COVID-19, I also became a private tutor for several children in my neighborhood. I helped them with homework or general school subjects. If they were too tired to study, I used educational games to help them learn in a fun way.
I’ve also joined volunteer activities where I interacted with children and babies. I was part of an international student organization called IAAS (International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences). We had a project with a local elementary school where we taught gardening, outdoor learning, and how to take care of plants.
Beyond that, I love writing, reading, and learning about different cultures and histories. I believe being an Au Pair is not just about helping out, but about growing together, sharing languages, ideas, and values in a way that enriches everyone involved.
Additionally, I still have a dream to continue my Master's study abroad in agriculture or find a job in my field. That is the reason I applied to be an au pair as a first step to improve my knowledge, and to experience science and life in a different continent, environment, and even season. I’m the kind of person who loves learning new things, like learning languages and exploring new cultures. I'm excited to grow, to give, and to create memorable connections with a host family.
You should host me because I am a warm and enthusiastic person who values trust, responsibility, and cultural exchange. I have previous experience as a private tutor and educational mentor for elementary school students, and I truly enjoy connecting with children of all ages. I’m especially passionate about learning, both in natural and social sciences, and I love creating a fun and educational environment for kids to grow in. Even with the youngest children, I believe in sharing knowledge through love, presence, and interaction.
I am qualified for this position because I combine both educational experience and a sincere love for working with young people. I’m also adaptable and open to new experiences, which I believe are important qualities in an Au Pair. I would be honored to contribute positively to your household and be a supportive and reliable presence in your children’s lives.
Thank you for considering me as your Au Pair. I look forward to the chance to learn from your culture, share my own, and grow together with your family.
Regards,
Anggita
