Dear Host Family,
My name is Umi. I am a final-year university student majoring in English Literature. I have been planning to join the au pair program after I graduate, as I see it as a meaningful opportunity to learn, grow, and share experiences across cultures.
About me, I enjoy art and crafts such as origami, drawing, knitting, and embroidery. I am also an outdoor person who enjoys spending time in nature. I believe creative and outdoor activities are important for children’s development, and I truly enjoy being part of that process.
I have experience with children, mainly through taking care of my nephews and niece. I love teaching them English and doing outdoor activities together, such as learning about nature like leaf structures and involving them in creative projects. Through these activities, I help them learn while having fun.
In addition, I work as a freelance English teacher, teaching students from elementary to senior high school. This experience has helped me become patient, responsible, and attentive to children’s different needs and learning styles.
Therefore, I would be very happy and willing to take part in this program and become a supportive, caring, and positive presence in your family.
