Introduction
First and foremost, thank you for your time visiting my profile.
I am writing this letter to introduce myself to you and my excitement to be part of your family.
I am Leah, 26 years old and was born and raised in a big island called Mindoro, in the Philippines. I am the youngest of six ( 3 brothers and 2 sisters) - 4 of them have their own families now. Growing up with siblings who have a big age gap from me was really hard since I had to be alone most of the time. I became more independent when my father died, I was 13 years old back then. I also had to took care of my bedridden mother after I graduated in the University (Biology) in 2019 until she passed away last 2021.
Luckily, I found a that became my second family when I became an Au Pair in Denmark for 2 years.They really treated me as a part of their family even now that I am no longer with them. They are family of 5 ( 3 kids) aged 7, 10 and 11). I had a chance to attend language school so I can speak and understand basic Danish.
At the moment, I am living with a nice Icelandic family with 3 kids aged 3, 7 and 10. Most of the time, I babysit the two youngest kids and help them with light household chores. My contract will also end on February, 2026. Therefore, I am now looking for my next host family that will not just welcome me to their home but also to their family.
I am an optimistic person. I see things positively, always. I am responsible as well. I can do light household chores and cooking is one of the things that I really love to do. I love to read books, nature trips, traveling and exploring which also the reasons why I decided to became an Au Pair and I would love to continue this journey.
