Introduction
My name is Svenja, I am 43 years old and originally from Germany. I am a qualified early childhood educator and a social worker, with many years of professional and international experience working with children and families.
I began babysitting at the age of 12 and have since gained extensive experience in childcare across various settings. My background includes work in bilingual daycare centers, with school-aged children, and in international holiday programs and camps abroad. I have also worked as an au pair in the USA, England, Australia, and Spain, which allowed me to develop strong intercultural skills and adaptability within family environments.
In addition, I have further training and hands-on experience in Montessori education. All of my experiences are playing a role in my work, focusing on supporting children’s independence, emotional intelligence, and individual development within a calm, structured, and respectful environment.
Since 2015, I have been working as a social worker, worked with refugees (families as well as children and adults travelling alone). Since some years I’m working as a projectleader, more administrative. Now I wish to return to a more hands-on role as a Nanny & Governess, working closely with children and contributing positively to family life while living abroad.
I am a reliable, caring, and highly responsible professional. Alongside childcare and educational support, I am happy to assist families in their daily life, including taking over or supporting selected routines, organizing families schedules, accompanying activities, and helping create a well-structured and harmonious household environment.
I would be available from summer, or earlier if required. A position that includes private accommodation (own apartment) is preferred.
