Introduction
I’m Emilia and I’m 17 years old. When I want to start my time as an au pair I’m going to be 18 years old. At the age of 15 I spent a term at an English boarding school near Hastings. At the moment I’m living in cologne in Germany with my parents and my little sister. My sister is about seven and a half years younger than me. Through that I came in contact with small children at a very young age. I always enjoyed taking care of my little sister. I’m also doing babysitting, as a student job.This summer I did an internship at an elementary school to collect some experience in teaching children. I’m doing ballet since I’m three years old. I also enjoy playing the cello and horse riding. After finishing my German “Abitur”, I would like spend about a year as an au pair, before going to university.
My mother tongue is German. I’m also fluent in English at a C1 level. I started to learn English at the age of six in elementary school. My English improved during my time at an English boarding school. In 2024 I also went to summer school in Sussex to do an English certificate from the Trinity College London. I did a level 10 exam and reached a pass with distinction.
I’m a really adaptable and easygoing person. I easily integrate into new groups. I’m open and empathetic.
