Dear host family, I hope you are well. I am pleased and happy to be able to address you through this letter.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Jennifer, I am eighteen years old and I currently live in Loja (Ecuador) with my parents Israel and Esperanza, with my four siblings Jhandry, Cristian, Neicer and Gabriela.
I recently finished my high school studies and my desire is to be able to study medicine.
I am a young woman who really likes to fight for what she wants and I always try to give my best, both as a person and in what I do. One of my strengths is humility, self-control and emotional intelligence. I also cook, many times I cook for all my family and friends, I have the ability to adapt to new places, I have done it, I love that, I really like getting to know new places and people. I have a driver's license so traveling with children will not be a problem for me, on the contrary, I am happy to accompany them and take them wherever they need to go.
I have had the joy of growing up in a Christian home, full of love, trust, respect and very fun and united. My entire family and I are Christians, we love going to church and I am currently serving in the dance ministry and also in the Sunday school ministry of my church, a ministry that is responsible for the care and teaching of children of all ages about God's love. It has been 5 years since I have voluntarily served and socialized with these children. I love teaching them what I know and, above all, learning more and more from them. I really like playing and being around them, because they are very innocent and transmit a lot of love and joy. I am also very good at listening to children, I like to be their friend and have them see me as such. Apart from the church children, I have taken care of 5 children with an age range between 0 to 10 years old. I took care of them and fed them while their parents went out to run errands. On the other hand, I have also taken care of a newborn (my niece), I have helped my sister-in-law in her recovery and taking care of her daughter, dressing her and sometimes feeding her with a bottle.
I made the decision to join this program and the United States as a destination because it will allow me to experience new emotions and above all it will help me with my level of English for my professional goals. Being an Au pair will allow me to learn from you, your customs, your culture and language, while you also learn a little about my culture and language since I am willing, if you want, to teach the Spanish language to your children.
