Dear host family!
My name is Amalie, I am a 21 year-old girl from Denmark. I gratuated from secondary school in June 2022. Shortly after, in August 2022, I traveld to South Korea to work as an au pair for a Korean-American family with two lovely daugthers. I worked for the family full time for one year until August 2023.
I enjoyed my work with the family very much, I am therfore hoping to continue this type of work with another great family.
I am currently living in London, UK, and I am mainly looking for “live-out” work. But please don’t hesitate to contact me regarding any living situation.

I am an outgoing, independent, and responsible person, who loves to travel and experience new things and challenge myself. I have previously lived as an exchange student in Seoul, South Korea, when I was 16 years old. Since then, I have studied Korean and grown my interest for the country and culture. Therefore, I have good knowledge of Korean language both oral and written. Furthermore, I speak Danish and English fluently.
I am also friendly, kind and well mannered. I find these qualities to be extremely important and I expect the people around me support this belief.

I lived in Korea from August 2022 until December 2023. This time has given me a lot of experience in childcare and general au pair work. I worked for my previous family six days a week. Furthermore living abroad by myself has made me incredibly independant and responsible.
During my secondary school years I took care of a little girl, mostly during weekends and sometimes in the evening. I would help her with homework and spend time with her doing her favorite things: baking, playing, being outside etc.
I have been working in my leisure time since I was 15 years old. This has developed my social skills and helped me grow as a young adult.
During my last year of school I have also been a tutor for an exchange student at my school, helping him settle in and learn about our school community.

During my time as an au pair I wish to create an exciting journey and to experience new people and places. I hope to learn from the new culture, while also teaching the children about my own culture and country. I hope this will expand my own perspective and knowledge, and help me understand children and their behavior to be able to bond with them through love and mutual respect.
Generally I wish to have a great time with lovely people, that hopefully will welcome me into their family and lives.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. Since I was little I've had a love for cooking and trying new recipes from different countries. I also enjoy listening to music and going for walks.
