My name is Luisa María Lozano Gómez and I am 19 years old. I am very grateful that you take the time to read my letter and I hope you like it, since I will tell you about my life and my experience as a babysitter. I live in Neiva, a small city in Colombia that is known for its parties and food. I live with my parents, my older sister and my two little nieces. I graduated from college in 2020 after that I started studying public administration at ESAP and right now I am in the fifth semester and I can proudly say that I have done very well and I really enjoy my studies.



One of the things I love to do the most is go to the gym, and thanks to that I have learned to eat in a healthier way, that is why I have learned many healthy recipes that I love to prepare for my nieces, in addition to the gym I love watching animated movies, maybe For many it is something childish, but for me there is nothing more pleasant than sitting down to watch one of these movies and remember my childhood. One of my aspirations is to be able to study in another country and form my life there, among them it could be the United States, Canada or Australia. In the same way I want to travel the world and get to know new cultures.

My beginnings as a babysitter was when my sister had her first daughter, but her studies didn’t allow her to take care of her for a long time, I was 11 years old and my niece was a baby that I took care of every day after school, I bathed her and I put her clothes on, fed her and after that we played for a while until she felt tired and she slept for a while, that's how it was until she grew up and they started taking her to school. Years later I had to do my social service and I decided to do it in a nursery and I was with the children from 4 to 8 years old, there I did activities with the children, we danced and many times they had conflicts and I intervened, I always had the supervision of a teacher to make sure everything was okay. At the age of 15 my second niece was born who is currently 4 years old and is a super intelligent and sweet girl, I took care of her until she was two years old since I already entered university and I could not help my sister anymore. But from time to time relatives would call me to help them take care of their children one day. From this experience with both small and large children, I realized the affection and what I love to share with them and I can say that I have had more fun with them and I have learned a lot about their care.
I would love to be your next Au Pair, because I love sharing time with children, but more than that I know the responsibility and care that they entail.
