I am pleased to introduce myself, I am Jineth Natalia , I was born in Colombia in a little town in Tolima which name is Purificación and I’m 21 years old. Purificación town is well known because of its joy, folklore, food diversity and nice weather.

I am pleased to introduce myself, I am Jineth Natalia , I was born in Colombia in a little town in Tolima which name is Purificación and I’m 21 years old. Purificación town is well known because of its joy, folklore, food diversity and nice weather.

We are 3 siblings, my mom and dad got separated when I was little and so I was raised by my grandparents in a village were despite of the circumstances, love and union were always at home.

I had a very happy childhood in there until I graduated from high school and then we moved to the capital city Bogotá, where I currently face a new stage of my life.

I live here with my father and grandma who support me on this plan that I decided to pursue to become an Au Pair. I have been learning the language and all the different classes to fit the requirements.

My father, my grandma and me are hard workers, but we enjoy days off in Family by getting done our house duties and cooking special meals. It is important for us to keep united.

During the time I spent at elementary and high school, my strengths were hand crafted arts and graphic design. I’m creative and I enjoy so much getting work done to perfection.

After I graduated from high school, I completed a fashion design workshop followed by an associate on stroke and cut, which I loved so much because I kept myself creating. I like to finish what I begin, such reading a book, studying, or working; but foremost is doing anything with love and responsibility.

My idea is to continue studying to achieve in a short term, a Bachelor degree, so that I can make profit of my creativity and achieve financial stability. I want to be an Au Pair because I think it is a good opportunity to personal growth and work experience. I believe it’s an activity that I can have benefit of by practicing/keep learning English while at the same time others benefit of my help and care.

I chose the United States because it’s an important country which offer good opportunities. On top of that I have always wanted to know the variety of cultures and places where the big movies are made.

I consider myself and active person, I like to productively take advantage of my free time by hiking, for instance, I get entertained at observing geography and animals. I also like to read, watch documentaries or help my family.

My first experience at baby sitting, was with my little step brother, he was sixth months when his mom had to leave for a work trip. I would wake up early in the mornings to get him ready, prepare his diaper bag, his bottle. I would daily take him to his daycare, then I would go to school and afternoon, I would pick him up to get him home, feed him, play with him, shower him and put him to sleep.

While he was sleeping I used to do my home chores and duties.
I was a very new experience for me, but I learned a lot.
I was all he had and I knew I was important for him. I learned to know whether he was crying because he was sleepy, hungry, in pain, or in need of cuddles.

Another experience with kids was in high school for social services. In Colombia, high school teens need to complete certain amount of hours at volunteering for social labor to graduate. I went to assist a teacher at kindergarten.

There was a group of toddlers that I helped to get feed. Teaching them to use the toilet. Leading playful activities and keeping them entertained.

One of the biggest take away from that was understanding how innocent and vulnerable kids are, they deserved attention, love and care.
After that, I babysat three girls for six months.

There were two at elementary and one at kindergarten. I used to pick them up after school, get them lunch and help them with homework.

I currently babysit one four year old boy on weekends. He is adorable and I perform my job based on the same the principles of love and responsibility.

In regards home duties, I know how clean, organize and cook; this last one is the one I enjoy the least.

My expectations with the Au pair program is to keep growing. I wish to find a cute family that I can interact in a natural way with. Where we help each other in solidarity, willing to open some room for me at their home to teach me as I’m willing to learn.

I appreciate from the bottom of my heart that family who is interested in my service as an Au Pair.
