I hope my message finds you well!
My name is Alessia, I am a 26-year-old Swiss-Canadian online university student.
I am fluent in Italian, English and French.
I am in the process of getting a degree in both Music and French education, hoping to become a teacher in elementary schools in the next few years.

I started working as a nanny when I was 17 and living in Switzerland: I took care of a little girl from the time she was 2 to when she turned 5 and I still see her from time to time when I travel back there for a visit.
After that, I have cared for several children (ages 3 and a half months to 10 years old), also in Switzerland.

I also have experience as a language tutor: I have worked with both children and teenagers and have successfully prepared a number of students for the French DELF exams.

I moved to Montréal in September 2021, thinking I was only going to stay until the end of the year, but I completely fell in love with the city and ended up completing 3 years of university courses there.
When I was living in Montréal I worked at a local music school teaching beginner piano, guitar and voice lessons to children.
I came to BC a couple of months ago and fell in love with the place! I am hoping to stay here long term and am therefore looking for an Au Pair position. Working with children is the only job I have ever had and, like I mentioned above, it's also something I see myself doing after graduation. I am extremely passionate about education and cultivating creativity and curiosity in little ones!

I enjoy doing arts and crafts with children (one 3-year-old little boy I cared for really enjoyed making Halloween masks with me to surprise his mom at the end of the day!), playing and dancing to music with them and going for walks to the park. But I am obviously flexible and can adapt to each child's favourite games.
