Dear Family, I am 24 years old and have a deep passion for working with children. I have been babysitting since I was around 12 years old here in Canada and would love to expand that to other countries.
Growing up my mom ran a daycare from our home, so everyday I was always surrounded by kids. This grew my passion of wanting to work with children when I grew up seeing my Mother take care of everyone. Ever since I was little my Father would tell me stories from when he traveled the world. It grew into a dream I want to achieve. I hope to experience many different cultures and learn many new things along the way.
One thing about me is I love art and reading. I used to read entire chapter books in a day. Now I have slowed down with reading due to finding a passion for art. I love going outside with my dogs to parks or spending my time doing creative projects. I would love to be able to explore new places and do fun activities with your family! My grandma was an artist so ever since I was a toddler she had shown me many different art projects and I would love to do some art with your children if they enjoy it!
My expectations are to experience more of a cultural exchange with of course some childcare thrown in! Light housekeeping is okay, but I would want to feel more like a member of a family rather than a housekeeper! So I expect to get at least one day off to enjoy the location I am in! I can help with laundry, loading dishes, tidying up, etc! My goal is to help the host family and be the best au pair I can be.
